Weapon mods
« on: December 06, 2009, 01:36:40 AM »

I will be posting some template files for weapon mods for Borderlands.  To use these, you will need to be familiar with the WillowTree save game editor.  I will create and post a tutorial for this soon.  I will post screenshots of each weapon with its stats so that anyone interested can be what the weapon is, what it's ratings are and level requirements.  The process to add these will be as simple as importing a new weapon using WillowTree.  I'll try to begin posting these over the next few days.

Download weapon presets here.

Np, these weapons are all from the game and haven't actually been modded but all are powerful weapons.  I know some people do not want actual modded weapons because it can make the game too easy so I exported the data for weapons i've found from playing countless hours in the past of Borderlands.  I have modded some guns before for fun but never posted them.  I might do that sometime soon.  A friend of mine made a gun for all 4 elements in one and I tweaked it a bit to have a better firing rate and more damage so it's a nice gun for certain occasions and a few others.  This forum is new and lately i've been busy with my free time playing some new games.  I feel I need to play each game through completely before modding it and that sometimes can take up some time.

I'm doubtful that i'll mod Borderlands really because the editor people are using for it is very sloppy and buggy and just doesn't produce the type of results I would want.  I thought about modding Grand Theft Auto IV some but there are a few games in mind so we'll see but i'll definitely start on something this month.  I do welcome anyone that mods to post mods here though and anything relevant to any PC games since that's why I made this forum.  I used to host my own professional blog and decided to go in a direction more to my liking and I always hated how much time it took sometimes to look for mods and good information on certain games so I decided to use that web host and such to create a forum for this with the hope of having more content and information in one place so that myself and others will not have to search for hours to find something.

I didn't have to extract anything, the weapon mods are really just text files that tells the WillowTree editor what the info & stats are of the guns but yea you can just change anything you want to in WillowTree and 99% of the time it will work in the game.

After installing the general knoxx DLC,Most of my items are no longer exist. Some people say the DLC uses a new file save format and we need to wait until willow tree gets updated.
All what i 'm asking for is what is the official site for willow tree so i can get it as soon as it gets released.

I don't remember where I got that willowtree editor from but you probably could find a new version through Google if there is a new version to get.  I haven't messed with Borderlands in a few months it seems.
