I'm looking for a way to get the eclipse armor like that guy has where he says in miranda's loyalty mission "You're the one that kidnapped our bosses little girl"... with the energy surroundings and all. Help please?

That armor is available but only works as casual attire.  Most armors when placed in the armor section, most of them only show up the first one and default the rest to that.  I don't think anyone ever figured out how fix this.

Yea, I never did find a way to make all of the color variations of armor to work as armor but they all worked as casual.  Last time I looked, no one else had found a way either but it might happen eventually.

Yea, just got to change their loadouts to where they carry sniper rifles.  If you need, I can change that and send you the ini file for it, probably would be tomorrow since i'm about to step out for several hours.

Okay I found something on the ME2 boards:

DJ_D wrote...

I figured out how to give more teammembers the Krogan Shotgun and the Widow Anti Material Rifle. It is actually quite easy to do that.

Open up your Coalcead.ini with Notepad++ and go to the Loadout section. [SFXGame.SFXPlayerSquadLoadoutData]

Then scroll all the way to the end of the section until you see
HenchmenSpecialWeapons
There are 2 lines. One for Grunts Shotgun and one for Legions Sniper rifle.
Add a new line after them and paste the following line in it.
---------------------------
HenchmenSpecialWeapons=(WeaponclassName="SFXGameContent_Inventory.SFXWeapon_MassCannon",
HenchmanclassName=SFXPawn_Garrus,UnlockPlotName=Tec_SniperRifle)
---------------------------
That will give Garrus the Widow as well.

For the Shotgun, use this line:
------------------------------
HenchmenSpecialWeapons=(WeaponclassName="SFXGameContent_Inventory.SFXWeapon_FlakGun",
HenchmanclassName=SFXPawn_Tali,UnlockPlotName=Tec_Shotgun)
------------------------------
That will grant Tali the ability to use the Heavy Shotgun.

You´ll notice that the unlock plot is Tec_SniperRifle and Tec_Shotgun. This needs to be done or the weapons cant be selected somehow.

If you want a different Team Member to get the weapons, Thane for example (he can use Sniper rifles and shotguns) just add another line for the sniper rifle and the one for the shotgun. Then change SFXPawn_Tali to SFXPawn_Thane.

Thats it, now save your changes and fix your C.ini with ruby or the ini fixer and your good to go.

Did that help you get the henchmen to carry the guns you wanted them to?

Okay so I figured out a way to get blue suns outfit working:

Code: [Select]
TorsoAppearances=(Id=1000,Type=CustomizableType_Torso,Mesh=(Male="BIOG_HMM_ARM_HVY_R.HVYa.HMM_ARM_HVYa_MDL",Female="BIOG_HMM_ARM_HVY_R.HVYa.HMM_ARM_HVYa_MDL"),PlotFlag=-1)
and

Code: [Select]
HelmetAppearances=(Id=1,Type=CustomizableType_Helmet,Mesh=(Male="BIOG_HMM_HGR_MED_R.BRTc.HMM_BRTc_MED_MDL",Female="BIOG_HMM_HGR_MED_R.BRTc.HMM_BRTc_MED_MDL",bHasBreather=True,bHideHead=False,bHideHair=False,PlotFlag=-1)
Just need to figure out a way to get the energy armor on it.

Hmm, that was a good idea, I never thought to mess with helmet appearance for those armors.  Only thing with helmet appearance I had messed with was heads for henchmen.  The DLC characters might be able to edited, I haven't tried but I did modify some DLC guns and all it required was running that entitlement file to make DLC content work without having to verify it in game because otherwise the game would think it's not the right DLC content and reject it.  I need to play ME2 again sometime soon, I have not tried the Katsumi DLC out yet, by time it came out I had played ME2 through almost 9 times so I needed a break from it lol.  Nice work on getting the outfit you wanted to work though.

Yep I even made a youtube video of it from zaeed's loyalty mission:

I wonder how ME3 will be.  Bioware intends to end the Shepard saga after ME3 but they are considering a mass effect online sometime in the future without Shepard.  I want to play ME2 again because I have not even done Katsumi's missions since by time that DLC came out i was on my 9th play through and needed a long break from ME2.

Kasumi's mission was awesome. It's really worth the money.

So I was messing around with unreal model viewer and discovered the eclipse material instance constant in there but not sure why it won't apply in the game:

So I switched back to blue suns outfit and tried giving myself the eclipse texture by doing this:

TorsoAppearances=(Id=1000,Type=CustomizableType_Torso,Mesh=(Male="BIOG_HMM_ARM_HVY_R.HVYa.HMM_ARM_HVYa_MDL",MaleMaterialOverride=
"BIOG_HMM_ARM_HVY_R.HVYa.HMM_ARM_HVYa_MAT_17a"

Notice the materialOverride part... does it have to refer to a material3? Because the MAT_17a is a material instance constant.

I guess there might be a few armors that work with material override as armor and not just casual.  I do know most armors that use material override only display correctly as casual but maybe some display as armor.  Either way it's good that you made progress.
